Every Tuesday, our volunteers are building skills, sharing knowledge and getting hands-on with training.

Last week, our training took us into the Moore Creek area, where brigade members inspected booster valves at local commercial venues.

These practical skills and shared knowledge help us stay prepared and ready to support our community when it matters most.

Thinking about volunteering ?

Reach out today and find out how you can learn new skills, meet great people and make a difference across our community.

The Moore Creek RFS volunteers will be at the Calrossy Anglican School Year 12 Graduation Fireworks display tonight, providing fire protection as a precaution.

If you’re around the Moore Creek area, don’t be alarmed when you hear or see fireworks.

Our volunteers will be on hand to help keep the event safe while the Calrossy community celebrates the Year 12 graduating class.

Ahead of the Fire Season familiarise yourself with the FIRE DANGER Information

Do you know your Fire Danger Ratings ?

As we head into bushfire season, it’s important that everyone understands what the Fire Danger Ratings mean and what action to take.

From Moderate through to Catastrophic, knowing the rating can help you make informed decisions and be prepared before a fire starts.

Take a few minutes to learn what each rating means and what you should do.

Over the past 10 months, members from Moore Creek, Tamworth City Rural Fire Brigade, NSW RFS - Kingswood Brigade, Tamworth Group 3 with support from the NSW Rural Fire Service Tamworth District have been helping deliver the Cadet Program across the region.

Each year, our members support hundreds of cadets representing Quirindi High, Oxley High, Gunnedah High, Barraba Central, Farrer Memorial, Tamworth High, Calrossy Anglican School and Peel High helping young people build skills in fire safety, emergency response, teamwork and leadership.

It's all about sharing knowledge, strengthening community connections and inspiring the next generations knowledge of the NSW Rural Fire Service.

Today’s cadets could become tomorrow’s Firefighters, Crew Leaders and Operational Officers.

A big THANK YOU to all of the Students, Teachers and to our Local Volunteers who give their time to support the program.
