Cleaning of the Balance Tank at Theresa Creek Dam is now complete. The tank is currently being refilled so water can continue to be treated and stored.

Workers have relocated to the Clermont Water Treatment Plant to prepare site for cleaning of the Raw Water Tank as planned.

Recent rain has slowed the work, so we are behind our original timings. We need some extra time to refill our water storages before the treatment plant is taken offline again, which is now expected to happen on Monday evening.

๐Ÿšจ Water restrictions remain in place, and we ask everyone to continue saving water while the second tank is cleaned.

We hope to return to outdoor water use and odds and evens sprinkling by Wednesday, 28 October.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while these important works are completed. ๐Ÿซถ

Stay alert and drive to conditions. ๐Ÿšจ

https://dashboard.isaac.qld.gov.au/

We all know the saying, if it's flooded, forget it, but it's just as important to stay alert after the water goes down.

Floods can leave behind hazards like potholes, silt build-up and fallen tree limbs.

Remember to drive to the conditions, check your local disaster dashboard before travelling, and stay up to date with road conditions, weather warnings and flood camera updates.

Council advises residents that the morning test results shows water quality at all testing locations across Clermont meet the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.

Contractors are on site at our balance tank today, Saturday, 24 October 2026, undertaking draining, cleaning and refilling of the tank.

Tomorrow, contractors will transfer equipment to the Water Treatment Plant in preparation for draining, cleaning and refilling our raw water tank early Monday morning. The plant will need to be temporarily shut down from Sunday night in preparation for this work.

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ Water conservation will be especially important from Sunday night, 25 October 2026 and Monday, 26 October 2026 when the raw water tank is drained, cleaned and refilled. We wonโ€™t be able to treat water and will be relying solely on our storages for this time.

Bottled water remains available from the Clermont Library and a water tanker will be available again across the road in Herschel Street from 4pm Sunday until 4pm Tuesday. ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ
