Last night I attended a Rotary meeting for Candidates running for Onkaparinga. About 52 people were invited about 10 attended.

Rotary Morphett Vale put on a very professional and informative night. Various members of Rotary presented and informed us what Rotary does for the community, Australia and the world. This ranged from building gardens in the Noarlunga Hospital, playground equipment, mentoring, community help, aid assistance - the list goes on.

One of the newer members described why he joined and the work he has done collecting old hospital equipment which Rotary collects then exports to countries of need.

I would say the people at Rotary were extremely welcoming, they have a wealth of skills and knowledge and fundraise to help areas of need.

An A class community group. Well done to all members.

Wakerie a small river side town - population 2,500. I was impressed with the multiple BBQ undercover sites, Two large undercover BBQ areas, Under cover playground, outdoor adventure playground, small kids bike tracks, two public toilet areas, Swimming pool, sports complex.

Then I think why do suburbs such as Flagstaff Hill have little to no council-provided facilities.

If you get a chance visit Wakerie - plenty of modern shops, places to eat a great bakery.
