๐ Here's a proud local moment ๐ค Many who built Moruya Public Schoolโs new raised pedestrian crossing either attended the school themselves or have children there now.
Thanks to the school P&C for raising safety concerns and working with our infrastructure team to find a solution. The team was able to build the crossing during the April school holidays.
๐ It's slowing traffic and making the school run much safer.

๐ It's National Road Safety Week. Our road safety officer Kat is sharing tips and resources to help keep everyone safe on our roads.
๐ Village Centre Batemans Bay.
Meanwhile, back at the depot, some of our fleet crew are helping spread this year's important message: Drive so others survive. ๐
Whether you're behind the wheel of a truck, ute, motorcycle or family car, every choice on the road matters. Slow down, stay focused and look out for each other.

Now, a new chapter begins. The upgraded public toilets are officially open, featuring improved accessibility, modern facilities and a much more fitting new nicknameโฆ the โloo with a viewโ.
Swipe through for the before and after photos. Some may miss the old yurtโs characterโฆ but probably not the toilets themselves. ๐

๐ฏ We have 100 Return and Earn baskets installed on public bins across the shire.
๐ Where installed, there's an 80 percent drop in the number of drink containers going to landfill.
๐ฒ Not a bad saving, plus motivated community members can pick up these containers and take them to a Return and Earn station, exchanging them for cash.
๐ป Now we want to put more in. And we want you to tell us where. In the comments if you will but for a location to be considered, take our quick, two-minute survey - open until 21 May.
