The NSW SES Mosman Unit was out in the community last night responding to multiple flood-related calls following significant rainfall across the area, with 130mm of rain falling in Mosman alone.

Our dedicated volunteers worked hard to assist residents, respond to incidents and help keep our community safe during the challenging conditions.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers who gave up their time, stepped up when needed and worked tirelessly to support our community. Your commitment and dedication make a real difference.

A huge thank you to our dedicated volunteers who responded to calls for assistance across our community following the recent flash storm and flooding.

As heavy rain and sudden flooding impacted parts of Mosman, our volunteers were out on the ground, working hard to assist residents, respond to incidents and help keep our community safe.

Whether clearing storm damage, responding to flooding or helping residents in need, our members gave their time, skills and commitment when the community needed them most.

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, professionalism and community spirit shown by our volunteers, who willingly step up in challenging conditions to help others.

The NSW SES has received reports of a flood originating in Queensland that is now making its way south.

Authorities have described the substance as a maroon-coloured saline liquid, believed to consist primarily of Queensland supporters’ tears following tonight’s result.

Should this wave reach your area, please do not contact the NSW SES. There is no cause for alarm.

Instead, check in on your Queensland friends by calling the Emergency Hotline: 12 30 12 30.

With heartfelt condolences

The NSW SES Mosman Unit extends our deepest sympathy to our colleagues at Marine Rescue NSW on the tragic loss of two members who died in the line of duty while helping others.

Their courage, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to saving lives will never be forgotten. Their service stands as a powerful reminder of the quiet bravery shown every day by volunteers across our emergency services.

Our thoughts are with their families, friends, and all members of Marine Rescue NSW during this incredibly difficult time.
