With warm conditions throughout the morning, regular hydration breaks helped keep everyone safe and comfortable.

After all that activity, students enjoyed a well-earned sausage in bread and a Zooper Dooper (thanks to the Mossman Junior Rugby League for letting us use the Soros burger bar).๐ŸŒญ๐Ÿง

Proudly coordinated by Douglas Shire Council, the event encouraged young people to connect, get active and learn simple ways to support their mental wellbeing.

Last week, Ocean Crusaders, Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation and Douglas Shire Council worked together to remove flood debris from local waterways, wetlands and communities still impacted by Cyclone Jasper.

From helping residents clear flood-damaged properties to removing more than 1 tonne of debris from Magazine Island and 1.2 tonnes from the Daintree River, these efforts are helping protect our rivers, reef and natural environment ahead of the wet season. ๐ŸŒŠโ™ป๏ธ

A huge thank you to everyone involved in this important work. Together, we're helping restore and protect the places that make Douglas so special.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Be sure to check out Ocean Crusaders' latest video to see the incredible work taking place across the region.
