Well done to all those involved with this fantastic club!
Go Barracudas!!

MOUNT BARKER BARRACUDAS TAKE A BOW! 🎉

What an absolutely incredible moment for our little country swimming club!

We are beyond proud to announce that the Mount Barker Barracudas have been crowned REGIONAL CLUB OF THE YEAR at the 2026 Swimming WA Awards of Excellence! 🏆

From a small regional town to standing amongst the very best in Western Australia…WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT! 🥹

It's a reflection of the countless early mornings, endless laps, personal bests, hard work, dedication and the incredible community we've built together 🤍

❤️ To our coaches - thank you for the time, patience, encouragement and passion you pour into our swimmers.

🖤 To our committee and volunteers - the countless hours behind the scenes never go unnoticed. Our club simply wouldn't exist without you!

❤️ To our parents and families - thank you for the early starts, the endless driving, the cheering from the sidelines and the unwavering support.

🖤 And to our SWIMMERS - this one's for YOU! Whether you're just finding your feet in the water or chasing your next big goal, you are the heart and soul of our club!!

This year's Swimming WA Awards celebrated the theme "Swimming is a team sport" and we couldn't think of a more fitting way to describe our Barracudas family!!
Because while our swimmers might race individually, everything we achieve is achieved TOGETHER!!

Small town. Big hearts. HUGE achievements!!!!

We couldn't be prouder to call ourselves the 2026 REGIONAL CLUB OF THE YEAR! 🏆

GO BARRACUDAS!!! 🦈💙🖤❤️

Preparations are underway for the 2026/2027 summer season!!

First job is to move the wildlife on 😄. We have a family of ducks that have taken up residence in the pool 🦆 and a maggie managed to get in the kiosk whilst we were out mowing the lawn, he looks to have taken up a lifeguard position 🐦‍⬛🛟.

Keep an eye on our page for the opening date (TBA) and any further updates. Summer here we come! 🌞😎🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️🍧🥤🏖️

That's a wrap! The pool is now closed for the 25/26 season.

We would like to thank our valued members, lappers, casual swimmers, schools, swim clubs and everyone who came along to the pool this season! It was truly enjoyable for all of us staff.

Stay safe and warm over these coming winter months and don't miss us too much as we'll be back again for summer!😊👋

Couple of brave (and/or crazy) early morning lap swimmers in for our last day of the season this morning. It was an invigorating 20 degrees in the water but that didn't stop Jay and Christine from cranking out their usual set - well done guys. 😀🥶

Happy Easter! We hope everyone is having a wonderful Easter holiday!
We are now into the last week of the season as the pool will close down for winter this Friday at 6pm.
Today we have the Torpedo Topple out from 12pm - 3pm so there is still time to get down to the pool and have another swim before summer is all over. See you there 🏊😎
