Today is Mabo Day. Today we remember the Mabo No. 2 High Court decision on 3 June 1992 - overturning the lie of Terra Nullius. We acknowledge the work of Uncle Eddie Koiki Mabo. Whilst 3 June marks the end of National Reconciliation Week 2020, we commit to and we look ahead to NAIDOC Week .
As we remember the 20th anniversary of the Walks for Reconciliation, as we grieve the destruction of sacred sites, and as we take action for justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, we pray for hope and healing as we are led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Christian Leaders to pursue friendship and Reconciliation in our lifetime.

Careful out there...💨
Damaging winds are impacting large parts of the state this evening, shown here along Beames Road, where a roof has been ripped off the building, falling onto parked cars.
