🚒 A BIG THANK YOU FROM MT ELIZA FIRE BRIGADE! ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Open Day on Sunday! We were treated to beautiful weather, fun-filled activities and fantastic community engagement, particularly with our fire safety sessions. It was great to see so many local families come down, get involved and learn a little more about staying safe.

A special thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success, including SES Frankston Unit, the members of Bittern Fire Brigade for bringing along their historic fire truck, the CFA Vegetation Management Team, and the many other supporters and volunteers who contributed their time and effort. đź‘Ź

We’re proud to be part of such a supportive community and appreciate everyone who came along to show their support!

Getting the station looking s***k and span for the Brigade Open Day tomorrow.
We’ll have open doors from 10-2 with free sausage sizzle and popcorn, kids activities, demonstrations from CFA and SES, and a coffee van on site (not free). Come and chat to us about the upcoming fire season and how to keep yourself, your loved ones, and the community safe.

On Saturday, our firefighter Jordan took on 28 floors of the Crown Metropol for the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb — carrying 25kg of turnout gear and breathing apparatus the whole way.

Firefighters and emergency services personnel are over-represented in cancer cases, while the mental health toll on our people is very real. Every dollar raised supports Lifeline, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and the 000Foundation — helping with crisis support, cancer research and supporting first responders and their families.

Together, this year’s event has raised more than $1.09 million.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared the fundraiser or cheered Jordan and the rest of the firefighters on.

Proud to reshare this wonderful tribute from Mornington Peninsula Shire celebrating our 90 years.

For nine decades, our volunteers have embodied what it means to be neighbours helping neighbours—answering the call, supporting one another and helping keep our community safe.

Thank you to every past and present volunteer, their families, and our community for your continued support. Here’s to honouring our history while continuing to serve Mt Eliza into the future.

Happy Father’s Day!

Today, Mt Eliza Fire Brigade acknowledges and thanks all the dads within our Brigade, as well as those who support our members behind the scenes.

To the fathers who volunteer their time to protect our community, the families who support them when the pager goes off, and the dads, grandfathers and father figures throughout our community — thank you.

Your support, guidance and commitment help keep our Brigade and community strong.

We hope you enjoy a well-deserved Father’s Day with your loved ones.

A huge thank you to all family, friends, supporters and members of the community who came out for our 90th Celebration Torchlight Procession in the village on Friday night. It was a fitting way to celebrate 90 years of volunteer service to the Mount Eliza community.

Thank you to all the CFA Brigades that took part: Frankston Fire Brigade - CFA, Somerville Fire Brigade, Edithvale Fire Brigade (CFA), Carrum Downs Fire Brigade, Langwarrin Fire Brigade (CFA), Mornington Urban Fire Brigade, Patterson River Fire Brigade, Dandenong CFA, Springvale CFA, Tyabb Fire Brigade.

Very special thank you to those who assisted in the organisation and running of the event: Mornington Peninsula Shire, Cr Stephen Batty - MPSC, SES Frankston Unit, Eastey Fire Trucks Inc, Eliza bowling Club, & Mt Eliza Lions.
