It was fantastic to see so many turn up with their coats, umbrellas and hats to walk today. While it was a bit wet at times it didn’t dampen the conversation or the beauty of the trail in the rain.

✨Let's talk about the NDIS on
Thursday 18th June 10.00am -12.30pm (free booking required)

Carers, join us for this tailored and informative session with Mike from My Sunshine Disability Services.

Mike will cover some of the key challenges that can be experienced when advocating and supporting someone with their NDIS plan.



There will be a general NDIS - Q and A component of the workshop, and Morning tea.

Carers will have the opportunity to submit general NDIS questions to Mike prior to the session.

There is no such thing as a silly question and your thought may assist another carer, in our lovely group.

The Mt Evelyn Community House and Reading Room team are excited to share with you that the new look entrance is now open!

Thank you community members for your understanding as all the capital works took place. Come for a stroll along the front of the building and you can now access the facility via the front entrance. Enjoy sitting on the new seat while taking in the wonderful scenery of Mt Evelyn, the Flame Trees and the stunning back drop of Mt Dandenong.

Thanks to Yarra Ranges Council Major Projects Team and staff, for the exciting new façade, that will continue to benefit community access for many years.

What a wonderful buzz of conversations around the table at this year’s Neighbourhood House Week Lunch.
Thank you for joining in the celebrations and participating in the Largest Led Community Lunch Initiative.
This year’s theme was Your Place to Connect and is something that all, at Mt Evelyn Community House value.

Thanks to everyone who attended, joined in the activity sharing their personal connections and what makes the Community House special to them. This all resulted in a wonderful collaborative wall display, with lots of laughter over lunch and some new community connections formed. Your welcome to drop in for a look at the display.
The community house team shared an overview of existing programs, some new upcoming projects, and really enjoyed the opportunity to join in the conversations.
