Avalon Village Accomodation Facility

Just when we thought we’d run out of lunch themes, our amazing Food Services team pulled this one out of the bag, a New Orleans NOLA-inspired soul food feast!

Avalon's residents were treated to classic Southern-style favourites including crispy fried pickles, Cajun corn salad, Dirty Rice and fresh Beignets dusted in icing sugar.

Now the real question is… where can we find this in Brisbane?!

Today’s lunch was inspired by the flavours of Greece, continuing the celebration after last week’s Greek Festival (Paniyiri).

We’re not ones to let anyone miss out on the fun, so we brought the festival straight to Avalon for our residents to enjoy a taste of the celebrations right here at home.

The menu featured all the classics; slow-roasted lamb, Greek salad, pita, tzatziki, hummus and grilled halloumi cheese.

And of course, no Paniyiri-inspired feast would be complete without Loukoumades (honey puffs) served for dessert! Opa! 🇬🇷

Avalon’s Friday Fiesta was in full swing today, with the team rolling up their sleeves and making everything from scratch.

On the menu: Hawaiian, Pepperoni, Supreme and Veggie Lovers pizzas all freshly prepared and baked in-house.

Today’s themed lunch at Avalon Village brought the vibrant flavours of Mexico to the table, inspired by Cinco de Mayo 🌮🇲🇽

Our residents enjoyed an array of tacos, capturing the spirit of Mexican street food with fresh ingredients, rich flavours, and plenty of variety. No fast food here, just real food, thoughtfully prepared and shared together.

It was a fantastic way for our residents to experience a little taste of Mexico right here at Avalon Village.

Our Indian themed menu featured two delicious curries served with vegetable pastries and fragrant rice.

The residents had been excited all week and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Safe to say it was a hit all around!

It's Friday Themed lunch!

Across the long weekend, Avalon's Food Services team served up a delicious range of breakfast, lunch and dinner options, with a different menu each day to keep things exciting.

Think fluffy pancakes for breakfast, mini burgers, seafood baskets, and chicken & chorizo paella for lunch and dinner… plus sweet treats like chocolate egg caramel slice and, of course, our in-house made hot cross buns!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate, we loved sharing the Easter spirit with you all!!

Italian Fiesta made its return at Avalon Village today 🇮🇹✨

Our residents enjoyed a comforting spread of favourites, including pumpkin gnocchi, pesto tortellini, spaghetti with chicken and tomato, and warm garlic bread.

A special addition this time was our homemade chocolate focaccia, a unique twist that brought something a little different to this week's themed lunch.
