Back at the Flynn rd fire this checking on fire breaks and burnout large areas of unburnt grass. This should keep the fire within containment areas. It will still be putting up smoke for the next day or two.
Thanks to Mount Maurice and Yarwun fire brigades for the support last night.

Be careful and stay safe. The land is very dry and any fire will spread very quickly.

Australia’s new emergency warning system, AusAlert, will be tested Monday 27 July at 2.00pm AEST.

If you have a compatible mobile device, you may receive a test alert that includes a loud siren-like sound and vibration. There’s no need to register or download an app – alerts are sent automatically.

AusAlert will become part of Australia’s emergency warning system from 1 October 2026, helping deliver important information during emergencies such as bushfires and floods.

This is only a test. In a real emergency, always stay informed, be prepared, and follow your emergency action plan.

📢 Help spread the word by sharing this post with your friends and family so they know what to expect and can stay informed.
