Year 11 into 12 Moreton Island Camp Recap & Day 3:

Day 3 was packed with adventure as we toured around the island!

Our first stop was the North Point Lighthouse, where students explored the information centre and learnt about the history of Moreton Island. We then travelled to the Ch*****ne Pools for lunch, swimming and beach games, before continuing on to the stunning Blue Lagoon for another swim. After a full day of exploring, students returned to camp to rest and refuel with a hearty dinner of kranskys before heading out for night kayaking. Through their clear kayaks, students spotted large turtles, a variety of fish and vibrant coral beneath the surface. It was an incredible day filled with adventure, discovery and memorable experiences.

Year 11 into 12 Moreton Island update!

"We had an early start to beat the wind. We kayaked and snorkelled the wrecks at Tangalooma. The kayaks are clear so that you can see through into the water. There were so many fish, with some people also seeing a turtle and a couple of resident wobbegongs. This worked up an appetite for lunch, which everyone enjoyed on the beach. We moved to a less windy location for an afternoon of beach activities which included pretty intense games of volleyball and soccer. After dinner the fire was lit and we enjoyed some roasted marshmallows and a fire sing along thanks to Heath, Sienna, Olly and Kayden."

Year 11 into Yr 12 Moreton Island Camp!

We got away on time with everyone keen and excited to get to the island. After a nice run over on the ferry with some dolphins welcoming us to Moreton we got straight into some sand boarding. A great time had by all, plenty of wipe outs and alot of sand. Everyone was keen for an afternoon of beach activities and an opportunity to wash off some of the sand. We had a great dinner of spaghetti bol, followed by an impromptu talent show which was absolutely hilarious. A fantastic day and looking forward to tomorrow.
