🌏 Thank you Hallam Secondary College - Launch Justice year 9 students and teacher Meagan Chappel 🌻
🤍 A huge thank you to teacher Meagan Chappel and the incredible Year 9 Launch Justice class at secondary college for their extraordinary generosity, compassion, and commitment to giving back.
⭐️ Meagan recently visited Casey North Community Information & Support Service Inc. with many boxes filled with donated food and essential sanitary items, collected through the students’ donation drive as part of their learning around community, justice, and social responsibility. What makes this even more incredible is that Casey North CISS was just one stop, with Meagan also delivering donations to other local community not-for-profit services, ensuring support reaches even more people in need across our wider community.
✨️ It is so inspiring to see young people not only learning about justice and compassion, but actively putting those values into action in such a tangible and thoughtful way.
✅️ These donations will go directly toward supporting local individuals and families through our emergency relief food hampers and support services, and we are so incredibly grateful.
🌟Thank you Meagan, the amazing year 9 Launch Justice students, and the wider school community for the incredible effort that went into collecting these donations and for showing what true community spirit looks like 🌟

⭐️ Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Zahra ⭐️
🧡 As we come to the end of National volunteer week, we would like to introduce our newest volunteer team member, Zahra. We are very grateful to have Zahra join the Casey North Community Information & Support Service Inc. , having arrived in Australia from Iran only a few months ago, Zahra has already made a remarkable impact within our service and community. City of Casey
🌏 As a speaker of Dari, Farsi and Hazaragi, Zahra has become an invaluable support to both our team and the many clients who feel comfort, connection, and reassurance hearing their own language during what can often be stressful or overwhelming times. While navigating her own settlement journey in a new country, Zahra is also working incredibly hard toward her future, attending English classes multiple times each week and showing extraordinary dedication to learning, growth, and creating new opportunities for herself.
🌻 Despite managing the challenges that come with building a new life, Zahra consistently shows up with compassion, warmth, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help others. Her cultural insight, lived experience, and ability to connect with clients face-to-face has helped our team better understand and respond to the diverse needs of our community.
🫂 No matter what may be happening in her own life, Zahra arrives with kindness, a smile, and loving commitment to help support others. She is thoughtful, talented, community-minded, and already such a valued part of our service.
💛🤍 Thank you, Zahra, for the heart, strength, and generosity you bring to our team and to every client you support. Your willingness to give back while building your own future is truly inspiring, and we are so grateful to have you with us.

💞🤍National Volunteer Week🤍💞
This we want to pause and recognise the extraordinary people who quietly hold communities together.
💟 At Casey North Community Information & Support Service Inc. Our volunteers are so much more than helping hands.
🪻They are the warm smile who greet someone who walks in feeling overwhelmed.
🪻 The calm voice when a client is facing crisis.
🪻 The patient person unpacking food, sorting donations, helping families navigate services, translating languages, understanding into dignity, and reminding people that they matter.
🌏 Across Australia, more than 5 million people formally volunteer through organisations, contributing an incredible 618 million hours of their time in 2025 alone. The number one reason?
Simply, to help others and their community. This is exactly who our volunteers are.
🌞 In a world where people are stretched, time is precious, and life feels increasingly expensive and complicated, our volunteers still show up.
🫂 They show up with kindness.
🫂 They show up with compassion.
🫂 They show up without expectation of recognition.
🦋 This week, they deserve every bit of it.
Because behind every food parcel, voucher, every conversation, every referral, every moment of reassurance, kindness and understanding, every voice for the voiceless, there is often a volunteer making that possible.
🩷 To our incredible Casey North volunteers, City of Casey, Thank you for giving your time, your energy, your hearts, and pieces of yourselves to help others feel less alone. You are not just volunteers.
⚘️❤️ You are the heartbeat of this community. Our service couldn't operate without you.
