Attendance numbers are low at school today due to the locals day at the GP track. So the whole school went for a walk to the beach to explore. Perfect weather for it!

What a kind friend Nate is! Congratulations Nate on supporting your classmates when they are feeling unsure. You have certainly made someone feel more confident in bike Ed yesterday. Nate was covered in stickers in appreciation, which he has transferred to his writer’s notebook.

Congratulations to our team that represented us at Newhaven College today. A competition was held for motor cross, golf and tennis. Super effort by Lola who made it to the podium!

Today our favourite vet came to visit! He talked to Mr Jury’s class about their persuasive writing tasks to help them decide which pets are best. Then he went to visit the prep students to talk about the tools vets carry in their bags. The prep spelling focus has been on the sentence “The vet will see your pet.” And they have made their own vet bags. Thanks Russ for the visit, our students loved it- especially Zoe 2.0 (the toy dog!)

Nate shared his whip cracking skills that he has perfected while visiting the Denny Ute muster over the holidays. The whole school was impressed! Well done!
