🔥 That’s a wrap on the NSW RFS State Championships for 2026🔥

What an incredible few days in Dubbo!

BullEx Australia & LION EMEA were extremely proud to once again be a Major Sponsor of the NSW RFS State Championships, supporting an event that brings together some of the best people, skills and teamwork from brigades across the state.

A huge congratulations to every team that competed over the weekend, and congratulations to Oakville Rural Fire Brigade for taking out the seniors, and NSW Rural Fire Service - Cumberland/Macarthur District St Pauls Cadets for taking out the Juniors!

We’d like to thank everyone who stopped by the BullEx Australia stand for a chat, checked out the equipment and shared their experiences with us. One of the best parts of these events is having the opportunity to catch up with familiar faces and meet volunteers from brigades right across NSW.

And of course, a massive congratulations again to NSW RFS - Hanwood Brigade, who convinced us why they deserved to take home our ATTACK™ Trainers Package giveaway! We’re stoked to see the package heading to such a deserving brigade and can’t wait to see it put to good use.

BullEx Australia has been proud to work alongside the NSW RFS for many years, supplying training equipment, supporting instructors and helping create realistic, safe and effective training environments.

Congratulations again to everyone involved in the 2026 NSW RFS State Championships.

Thanks for having us, Dubbo — see you all at the next champs on the Coffs Coast! 🔥🚒

CONGRATULATIONS NSW RFS - Hanwood Brigade !

A huge congratulations to Hanwood Brigade, winners of the BullEx Australia & LION EMEA ATTACK™ Trainers Package at the 2026 NSW RFS State Championships!

This one wasn’t simply drawn out of a hat. Brigades were given the challenge to convince our team why their brigade deserved to take the ATTACK Trainers Package home — and Handwood delivered!

Their passion, enthusiasm and case for how the equipment would benefit their brigade/district and enhance their training ultimately won us over.

Congratulations again to the entire Handwood Brigade — we hope you put the ATTACK Trainers Package through its paces! 🔥🚒

A big thank you as well to every brigade that took the time to come and have a chat with us and tell us why they deserved to win. There were some fantastic pitches, which certainly didn’t make the decision easy!

Well done, Hanwood — we can’t wait to see the package in action!

BullEx Australia & LION EMEA are proud to once again sponsor the 2026 NSW RFS State Championships.

We're excited to be heading to Dubbo from the 11th–13th of September 2026 to support one of the biggest events on the NSW Rural Fire Services Calander.

After the incredible response at 2024's Championships, we're bringing back one of our biggest giveaways...

🎉 One lucky brigade will take home an ATTACK Trainers Package valued at over $26,000!

Designed to provide realistic, safe and engaging fire training, the ATTACK system helps firefighters build confidence and competency through hands-on, scenario-based learning.

If you're attending the Championships, be sure to stop by our stand, meet the team, check out the latest training technology.

We can't wait to catch up with brigades from across the state and celebrate the dedication, professionalism and camaraderie that make the NSW RFS community so special.

See you there!

It's been a busy few months at BullEx Australia!

From delivering on-site instructor training to visiting client sites for exciting new projects, our team has been hard at work delivering and designing fire training solutions.

One of the highlights? We're currently working on an incredible training project with a live fire UH-60 Helicopter including multiple spill fires.

We've got some exciting installations coming up over the next few months, so stay tuned... you won't want to miss what's coming next!

🔥 Gas detection isn’t just a HazMat skill anymore — it’s a core skill for every firefighter 🔥

The NFPA 1010 Standard on Professional Qualifications for Firefighters is changing. Although this does not directly apply to Australia, the expectations around atmospheric monitoring and gas detection training are about to become mandatory.

Firefighters are increasingly operating in environments where dangerous gases are present long before visible signs appear. Hydrogen Sulphide, Carbon Monoxide, and other volatile compounds are now recognised as major contributors to line-of-duty cancers and cardiac events, yet many firefighters still receive limited hands-on training with gas detection and atmospheric monitoring equipment.

The challenge for many fire agencies is simple: How do you build competency with multi-gas meters without exposing crews to real hazards or building specialised training facilities?

This is where the LION Gas Trainer comes in.

The Gas Trainer allows instructors to safely simulate %LEL, O2, CO & H2S, giving firefighters the opportunity to:

✅ Realistically simulate of gas emission sources,

✅ Read gas emissions in a safe and controlled environment,

✅ Set alarm levels, adjust the gas being monitored, and even manually increase or decrease gas readings,

✅ Give live feedback, the instructor sees what the trainees see.

Reach out to BullEx Australia today to learn how the Gas Trainer can support your department in meeting atmospheric monitoring and gas detection training requirements.

Last week we had the privilege of supporting the NSW Rural Fire Service with a live demo of our ATTACK™ Digital Fire Training Panels and Smoke Generation Systems.

Combining augmented reality flames, sound, and reactive smoke, the system creates ultra-realistic fire scenarios — simulating A, B, C & E class fires and handling up to a 70mm charged hose line.

From level 1 to 10 intensity, the fire grows, spreads, and adapts to every move. It's immersive, pressure-tested training without the live fire risk.

🔥 No carcinogenic exposure
🔥 No turnout gear to clean
🔥 Just back-to-back scenarios, again and again and again.

Whilst not a replacement for live fire, it’s the perfect tool to build skills, challenge crews, and maximise training time safely and effectively.

Thanks to NSW RFS for having us on site — always proud to support those on the frontline.

We’re excited to share that early works are underway on three major new training facility projects across Queensland and Victoria, set to roll out over the next 18 months. These projects are being built by LION EMEA and delivered by BullEx Australia, who will supply and install the training systems on site.

Two of these sites will include custom-built carbonaceous burn cells, each equipped with afterburners to support cleaner, more controlled live-fire training.

The third site will feature one of our Live Fire GFT Naval units, alongside a Breathing Apparatus Trainer and a Damage Control Unit designed to realistically simulate marine emergencies in compliance with Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) standards.

We’re committed to helping build safe, skilled response teams with practical, effective training solutions.
