The hypocrisy of the Australian mainstream media and MPs from various levels of government is not surprising to First Nations Peoples. We're seeing widespread coverage of the George Floyd case which reached a guilty verdict on all charges, but at the same time the very same media actively undermining BLM movements in this country and the denial of racism with policing organisation! Go figure!? The NSW minister for police doesn't see racism as a problem in policing, yet there are Aboriginal people in rural NSW are literally being incarcerated for petty thefts like stealing $2 soft drink cans! Overpolicing is killing us and incarcerating us at record levels. It's a disgrace for someone in your position to be so ill-informed! These young kids know what's up and more power to them for being so vocal on societal issues! We're proud of you ❤💛🖤

Following on from the announcement that the government will permanently 'raise' Centrelink payments by $50, how is this going to impact you once the covid supplement stops? With part time work, I often don't receive full payments from centrelink and the covid supplement helped with an extra $100 after reporting earnings.

As January 26th approaches and we see an increase of imagined 'fairytale' stories outlining the invasion of so called Australia, and tokenistic gestures to involve First Nations Peoples in 'celebrations'. Mob please make sure to be safe and also put your mental health first. I personally need to step away at times and recentre myself from the toxic patriotism. Surround yourself with mob, attend Invasion/Survival Day rallies, don't look at the comments section (we know what them people are about) or do whatever it is that'll get you through the day. Always Was, Always Will Be!

Sadly, the Government’s Christmas cut to income support passed the Parliament overnight.

It’s devastating news for millions receiving the Coronavirus Supplement, including hundreds of thousands of students.

This festive season will be a deeply anxious one for many, especially those new to the income support system who don’t yet know there is a community of people standing with them and fighting for them.

If you want to join the campaign visit https://raisetherate.org.au/ and sign up to the mailing list for events and info.

If you’re in Adelaide, be sure to attend the protest next week: https://www.facebook.com/events/1345639735774305

Scott Morrison and Josh Frydenberg know we’re a movement they can’t ignore and we’re only growing stronger.
