To Our Valued Clients and Friends,
After 14 wonderful years as shearing contractors, the time has come for us to close this chapter and begin a new one.
As we reflect on this journey, our hearts are filled with gratitude. It all began when John Lawrence took a leap of faith on a young bloke with a young family - a bloke who had once been told he'd never make a good shed hand. Thankfully, he turned out to be a pretty good shearer after all.
That opportunity changed the course of our lives, and we will never forget the faith John showed in us.
To every one of you who chose us over the years, thank you. Your loyalty, trust and support have meant more to us than words can express. What started as working relationships quickly became friendships that we will always treasure.
Many of you have watched our family grow from a young couple with little ones into a family of five. In return, we've had the privilege of watching your own families grow too - seeing children become adults, welcoming grandchildren, and sadly sharing in the loss of loved ones along the way. These are the moments that remind us that shearing has always been about so much more than sheep; it's been about people.
We also couldn't let this moment pass without thanking the many people who have worked alongside us over the years. We've been fortunate to have some wonderful shearers, shed hands and team members become part of our journey. Like any business, we've had our share of good luck and bad luck when it came to finding the right people, but every person played a part in our story. A special mention must go to Gary Lamey. We think everyone would agree that Gary has been one of the very best. His loyalty, hard work, friendship and the pride he took in every job never went unnoticed, and we're incredibly grateful for everything he has done for our family and our business.
Making the decision to step away has not been easy, but it is the right one for our family as we look towards the future. While this chapter is closing, this certainly isn't goodbye. We're sure our paths will continue to cross, whether it's in the shearing shed, around town, or somewhere down the track.
We're also pleased to let you know that we've passed our run on to Brendan and Jenna Kelly. They share the same values that have always been important to us - family, hard work, honesty, and doing a quality job. We know they'll look after you well, and we hope you'll support them as generously as you have supported us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving us the opportunity to build not only a business but a life. We are incredibly proud of what we've achieved together and will always be grateful for the friendships, memories and experiences we've shared.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
With heartfelt thanks,
Bob, Nicola and Family
