What a fantastic start to our School Holiday Program, with 37 children taking part across three creative and hands-on workshops!

Participants learnt macramé knotting and teamwork while creating a giant Snakes and Ladders game with Fiona Howle, explored sustainability and STEM concepts by making bird-friendly feeders from recycled materials, and unleashed their creativity in the Toonworlds Cartooning Challenge, designing their own unique cartoon characters.

From problem-solving and collaboration to art, engineering and environmental awareness, our young attendees developed new skills while having plenty of fun along the way.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We can't wait to see what Week Two brings! 🌟📚

‼️STUDIO TO STREET OBERON - POSTPONED UNTIL 2027‼️

Due to extenuating circumstances, Studio to Street Oberon will now take place in 2027.

The committee behind this event is currently managing a number of important personal and professional commitments. After careful consideration, we have decided that postponing the exhibition is the best way to ensure we can give it the time, energy and attention it deserves.

We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing interest, encouragement and support from our local artists and the Oberon community. We look forward to bringing everyone together in 2027 to celebrate the remarkable talent of our region.

STAY TUNED - New date to be announced shortly.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and support ♥️

Twelve children attended our Bird Friendly Feeders school holiday activity, enjoying a hands-on session that combined sustainability, creativity and STEM learning.

Participants explored the importance of sustainability through reusing and recycling everyday materials, transforming cardboard tubes into bird-friendly feeders. Children also learnt how to make a simple, non-toxic edible glue recipe, providing a safe and environmentally friendly way to attach bird seed to their creations.

The activity encouraged STEM thinking as children planned and engineered their own feeders, considering how to make them strong enough to hold the bird seed, easy to hang, and attractive to local birds. They experimented with different design ideas and problem-solving strategies while creating their unique feeders.

The session was a great success, with all 12 attendees taking home a completed feeder ready to hang in their garden, helping to support local birdlife while reinforcing the value of sustainability, environmental awareness and creative design.
