Since the first crews departed in July, members and their fellow Australians have been kept very busy on fire grounds across three countries including the United States, Canada and France.

Our people have been covering a range of roles, from on-the-ground firefighting and aerial water bombing to positions within Incident Management Teams.

Our thoughts are with every community currently being impacted by wildfires. We are, as ever, in it together 💛

What a wonderful contribution to their community.

What a wonderful contribution to their community.

A big thank you to Kevin and Ann Graham for their contributions to Woodstock and Kangaroo Flat brigades.

Mr. and Mrs. Graham had an unfortunate situation earlier this year when their chimney caught fire during the night. Woodstock was first on scene, with Kangaroo Flat being paged to assist with their SCBA gear.

The contributions made by the Graham's will help both brigades continue to help our communities.

Captain Robbo Moodie accepted the contributions today, on behalf of both brigades, from Mr. Kevin Graham.

14 YEARS and STILL LOOKING GREAT

In 2012 the first standard Rural Fire Station was opened at Lake Canobolas, over 50 new stations/additions have been completed with the latest handover in September of 2026. This project management of this build was undertaken by the acting administration assistant Cathy Bowden with a budget of $265,000. The same station would now be $3 Million.

Towac Rural Fire Brigade has looked after their station with pride.

OBSERVATION | 🌅 A QUIET START TO THE DAY 🚒
There’s something special about an early morning at Towac Rural Fire Brigade
After overnight rain, the wet concrete catches the first light of the morning, creating beautiful reflections across the station apron. 💧✨
The shed is quiet, the countryside is waking up, and for a moment there’s a peaceful stillness around the brigade.
Then again… you never know who might turn up! 🦘👀
A beautiful reminder that our brigade is not only a place of service and community — it’s also part of the landscape we’re here to protect.
