The Darwin real estate surprise:-

NT Government estimates between 2,000 and 4,000 have relocated to the Northern Territory since the pandemic began, leading to a dramatic shift in Darwin's rental market.

Rental vacancies in Darwin have dropped from 8% to about 2% which resulted in the number of rental listings is down more than 60% on the five-year average.

Local real estate experts are surprised by the sudden shift and new arrivals were happily signing 12 or 18-month leases.
