Over 3 busy days in Gunnedah, VET students from NSW public schools served food and coffee, demonstrated virtual welding and welcomed visitors to a crowd-favourite petting zoo.
Hospitality students from Quirindi High School, Wee Waa High School, Oxley High School and Parry School made packed lunches and coffees, while Peel High School staff and students gave visitors the chance to try their skills with the virtual welding machine. And, for the first time, thanks to Gunnedah High School - Official we had a petting zoo which proved a huge hit with visiting K-6 public school students!
Most importantly, students had the opportunity to apply their learning in a real-world environment, connect with industry and showcase their confidence, capability and professionalism.
A huge shoutout to the students and staff who made it happen. Swipe through to see them in action! 👏
