🎉Stronger Together Festival & Event Grants – Now Open!

Bring your multicultural and multifaith community together and celebrate NSW’s vibrant diversity with grants of $5,000–$20,000 available for multicultural festivals and events.

🔑 Key details:
There’s only ONE round of Festival and Event grants available in 2026-27.
Events or festivals must take place between 1 October 2026 and 30 September 2027.
Applications close at 4pm Monday 13 July 2026.


🧍Who can apply:
Eligible community organisations for festivals and events that:
promote cross-cultural awareness and understanding
engage with a broad cross-section of the NSW community
ensure NSW’s multicultural community can celebrate, preserve and share traditions are accessible to the public and are welcoming for everyone in NSW.

Today we recognise and the extraordinary courage of Eddie Koiki Mabo, whose landmark legal battle changed the course of Australian history by striking down 'terra nullius' in the High Court.

Commemorating Mabo Day Mabo Day commemorates Mer Island man Eddie Koiki Mabo and his successful efforts to overturn the legal fiction of terra nullius.

🏅 Leo Tanoi is the winner of the 2026 Arts and Culture Medal and this week's It's My Story.

For more than 30 years, Leo has been a dedicated champion of Pasifika culture in New South Wales.

From the early Pacific Wave festivals to landmark exhibitions like Body Pasifika and Lifting the Tapu, Leo has spent decades keeping culture visible through art, music and performance, creating space for Pasifika stories and opening doors for future generations.

For Leo, it has never just been about art. It has been about identity, responsibility and belonging.
