Last Friday, 29 May, marked Blooming Supports’ second workshop: Talk. Listen. Thrive. – A Workplace Communication Workshop. We welcomed 10 participants, all eager to strengthen their communication skills while connecting with others they may not have previously met.
Throughout the session, participants focused on developing more effective communication techniques. By the end of the workshop, many reported feeling more confident not only in expressing themselves, but also in actively listening, observing, and asking questions they may have previously felt unsure about.
The group engaged in meaningful discussions around clear versus confusing communication. Together, participants worked to refine unclear statements and questions, exploring ways to make them more effective. These conversations led to practical ideas for applying clearer communication in both workplace and educational settings.
One of the highlights of the workshop was a paired activity where participants sat back-to-back and took turns describing an image for their partner to draw. This exercise emphasised the importance of giving clear, explicit instructions and demonstrated just how easily misunderstandings can occur. It quickly became a crowd favourite—highly engaging and a great way to build connection within the group.
We’re excited to continue building on this momentum and look forward to our next workshop!

Hey all its Alana here the Business Development Manager at Blooming Supports. As a BDM its my job to get out and about to meet clients, connect with local businesses, and engage with the community.
This morning I spent some time in the northern suburbs — Joondalup to be precise — and stopped in to visit our wonderful friends at The Good Company & Co to check out their café and enjoy one of their beautiful coffees.
What a stunning little café! Great vibes, amazing coffee, and even better staff. You guys are doing an incredible job — keep it up!

This Friday, some of our team will be attending the Career Expo Event. While we are not exhibiting this year, we’ll be there and would love the opportunity to connect with attendees and local businesses.
If you would like to chat about employment support, getting job ready, or exploring career pathways, feel free to message or call our team to arrange a catch-up during the event.
We’d also love to connect with exhibitors and employers who are looking for staff opportunities. We are always interested in building partnerships that help match the right applicants with the right roles while supporting individuals throughout their employment journey.
We look forward to seeing everyone there!

This year, Blooming Supports has been incredibly busy expanding our Support Coordination team, welcoming two amazing PBS practitioners, and continuing to grow, with plans to add an Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist before the end of the third quarter.
With growth comes change, and we understand that transitions can sometimes feel disruptive or take time to adjust to. What has never changed, however, is our commitment to providing the very best support for our clients. We listen, help guide each individual's journey, and always put our clients first.
If you are currently looking for a new NDIS provider, we would love the opportunity to connect with you and see whether we are the right fit for your needs.
Please feel free to reach out via email, Messenger, or by calling our wonderful office team.
