On Friday night, 103 candidates proudly became Australian citizens, each bringing their own story, hopes and dreams to our community.
With the incredible energy of Jayden Boundry and the Coco Bros filling the room, it was a joyful celebration of belonging, culture and the very best of Australia.

Helping local residents achieve their sporting dreams through the Cityβs Sporting Donation Program.
A big shout out to local sporting talent, Kai Ogilvie, who's earned a spot representing WA on the baseball national stage βΎπ
Earlier in the year, Kai's All Star charter team, the Central Firebirds, took home a championship win at the Little League State Baseball Tournament. They're now heading to New South Wales to represent the state in the National Tournament π
It's an incredible opportunity and big achievement for Kai, his family and our community. We'll be cheering for you!
We're proud to give young athletes a helping hand through our Sporting Donation program π

Today is βWear Orange Wednesdayβ, an important day across Australia to recognise and thank our amazing and dedicated State Emergency Service volunteers. Their commitment, courage and willingness to step forward when people need help most deserves our respect and thanks.
State Emergency Services volunteers play a critical role in emergency response in Western Australia. If you ever see them in action, you'll know it - they're the responders wearing orange π§‘
Today is Wear Orange Wednesday, a day to show our appreciation for SES volunteers around the state, especially from our local branch, the Belmont Victoria Park SES.
As a sign of our appreciation, we've lit up the Civic Centre orange β΄οΈ
But we didn't stop there π€
Last week, City of Belmont Mayor Robert Rossi met with local SES volunteers to hand over the keys of a new SES vehicle, which will be used to respond to emergencies in our community and elsewhere π

Thank you to everyone who came along to The Locals Series | Rise and Shine at Hoskin Park. Events like this are a simple but important way to help people connect and strengthen our community, something I care deeply about.
