WA Multicultural Leaders Forum: Your Voice. Our Future.

On Saturday 12 September 2026, the Multicultural Labor Organisation proudly hosted the Multicultural Leaders Forum, bringing together community leaders from across Western Australia for a conversation that mattered.

Moderated by Eknoor and Hasaan Pirzada, the forum dug into four key topics:

Community Experiences: celebrating the strength, resilience and stories of WA's multicultural communities, while being honest about what's not working.

Key Priorities: hearing directly from leaders about what needs attention now, and where WA should be heading over the next five years.

Challenges & Opportunities: tackling the tough stuff head on, including the real, structural barriers communities still face.

Shaping Our Future: exploring how community and political leaders can work together to turn ideas into action.

The Multicultural Labor Organisation (MLO) thanks Dr. Tony Buti MLA for his dedicated service as Minister for Multicultural Interests.

We warmly welcome Jessica Stojkovski MLA as the new Minister for Multicultural Interests, congratulate Daniel Pastorelli MLA on his appointment to Cabinet, and congratulate Divina D’Anna - Member for Kimberley on her appointment as Cabinet Secretary by the Governor.

We wish them all every success in their new roles.

MLO General Meeting!

Our recent Multicultural Labor Organisation General Meeting was a great success, with strong member participation and positive discussions about multicultural community engagement.

Proud to reflect on the opportunity where our Multicultural Labor organisation was honoured to attend the Perth Eid Festival, celebrating the spirit of unity, diversity, and community here in Western Australia.

Events like the Perth Eid Festival truly showcase what makes our state special, people coming together from all backgrounds to share culture, food, music, and joy in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

A big thank you to the organisers, Abdi Artan including the Tanzeel Islamic Society, for creating such a vibrant and family-friendly celebration. From carnival rides and cultural stalls to delicious food and entertainment, it was a beautiful reminder of the strength of multicultural Australia.

Looking forward to continuing to support and celebrate events that bring our communities together in unity and respect. 🌏🤝
