Today marks the official resignation in my role as a Commonwealth Marriage a celebrant.
It has been such a beautiful career of fifteen years, with almost 300 weddings, renewals, namings and funeral services.
Too many to mention one by one.
I do want to thank Dale and Leah Robinson for trusting me with first ever wedding ceremony 12th January 2006 and then Meghan and Simon Mills for honouring me with my last ever service as a marriage celebrant 26th Nov 2022.
Both couples are friends, so what a wonderful book end to my career.
To those I have connected with on Facebook and in turn seen your love grow, with homes, children, pets, anniversaries and love stories of every kind..... thankyou for continuing the journey with me through social media.
To the amazing vendors over all of the years, your dedication to the industry and each couple doesn't go unnoticed. There are a special few familiar faces who shared grace and kindness when we worked together. So many others, but these people always made me feel safe and confident in my role.
This is a big decision bit the right one. My heart is full with pride and happiness for all that I have achieved and the love I have witnessed

As of December 1st 2022 I retire as a marriage celebrant.
My choice is based purely on my health and the commitment to ensuring my clients always receive the best on their wedding day.
Unlike funerals and naming days, weddings are often booked upto 18months in advance and I dont feel I can honour my role without a crystal ball and fluctuating health challenges.
I have adopted the 15 years solemnised marriages and being part of the love stories.
Too many to mention, but I will be sharing some memories and special moments in coming weeks.
Xx
Love is love and always will be something to celebrate and share
Reflecting on almost 15 years as a marriage celebrant, more than 250 weddings, friendships made across the years.
I have watched families grow, loved ones pass, conducted baby naming days, vow renewals, anniversary celebrations, watched home births and been honoured to host funeral services and memorials.
Today I married a family friend's daughter and it was a bitter sweet day, knowing that I have one wedding ceremony left and then I retire from the industry.
So many wonderful memories

Yesterday was a day to farewell a wonderful lady.
Her husband of 65 years told me; the day we married she walked into the church and the sun shone on her through the stain glass windows..... I was marrying an angel."
And now as she bids goodnight in heavenly skies, I hope he remembers his wedding daylight evey sunrise.
