"Red Cloud chief executive Carl Woodbridge said the data centre is expected to be completed by September 2017, and will cost $40 million to construct.

“We will be building our data centre to comply with and be accredited by The Uptime Institute to tier-3 standard, enabling Tasmanian ICT companies to access the best supporting infrastructure,” said Woodbridge."

The data storage company is in the final stages of purchasing a 7,000-square-metre site on Kennedy Drive at Cambridge in Hobart.

Red Cloud CEO Carl Woodbridge said it would create 80 jobs during the construction process and 17 ongoing jobs.

Red Cloud readies Bibra Lake data centre - ITnews.com.au 28/06/2016

"Data centre start-up Red Cloud will bring its first facility online in Perth’s southern suburb of Bibra Lake in September, with an initial capacity of 120 racks and 2MW of power.

Bibra Lake is Uptime Institute Tier 3 certified, Red Cloud said. The company also plans to pursue a NABERS rating, however the scheme requires the facility to have been operating for at least a year."
