We’re really loving the Action for Happiness ‘Joyful June’ calendar. Just looking at the first three, they are very AVP.
1. Decide to look for what’s good every day this month.
2. Say positive things in your conversations with others.
3. Re-frame a worry and try to find a helpful way to think about it.
Can you see any others?

Every day may not be good, but there’s something good in every day 🌤 Join us for Joyful June and discover actions to help you find and share the little joys in life https://actionforhappiness.org/joyful-june

When we do a Violence vs Non-Violence brainstorm in a basic workshop, 'racism' inevitably comes up. The highlight of yesterday's Reconciliation WA's Reconciliation Week breakfast was the impassioned Keynote Address by Whadjuk Noongar journalist and newsreader Narelda Jacobs.

Narelda told the crowd the scourge of racism is something the "privileged don't see, and the media doesn't report".

"It's in our institutions, our systems; it's on our streets, and once you see it, you can't unsee it, and you realise it's everywhere," she said.

You can watch the broadcast on demand on SBS here https://www.sbs.com.au/.../reconciliation.../2499055683684
Narelda's speech begins at the 59-minute mark. You will need to create an SBS on Demand account (it's free) or sign in to your existing account.
