At Australian Christians, we have long been concerned about sexually explicit books, often for children, being placed in the children’s section of public libraries. Despite repeatedly raising these concerns, the Government seems untroubled with these materials remaining in front of kids. If we are all about the protection of children and what they are exposed to, then it needs to start with this basic step.
That’s why we need your help. If you have seen these kinds of inappropriate books in the children’s section of your local library, please use the form below to let us know. Upload a clear photo of the book, and a photo showing where it sits on the shelf, so we can verify what is happening in each library. Don't identify any place or any person.

If you don’t have a Google account, you can email your photos to:

Please remember: always be polite and respectful to library staff. Our concern is with the material and the policies that allow it, not with the people working behind the desk.

Happy WA Day!
WA Day began as a commemoration of the Swan River Colony, but today it celebrates something much bigger — the people, communities, and cultures that have helped shape Western Australia into the place it is today.
As Christians, we are reminded to be grateful for God’s blessings and to seek the good of the place we call home: “Seek the peace of the city… and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace.” — Jeremiah 29:7

Well done to Dr. Vanessa Spiller for having the courage to publicly resign from the Australian Psychological Society (APS) after 24 years, in response to its gender‑affirming position statement.
In her powerful piece for Gender Clinic News, Dr Spiller explains that she can no longer, in good conscience, remain part of a body that she believes is choosing ideology over evidence – promoting a gender‑affirming care model that downplays weak evidence of benefit, ignores emerging research on serious risks, and shuts down good‑faith debate among clinicians who simply want high‑quality, evidence‑based care for vulnerable young people.
The Australian Christians have been clear from the beginning that the so-called "affirmation model" in dealing with minors with gender dysphoria poses a grave risk to their long-term health and should be discontinued and treated with the utmost caution and watchful waiting.

Well done to Parents of Adolescents with Gender Distress (PAGD), a group of mums and dads whose children have experienced gender distress, for courageously calling on the AHRC to remove harmful and misleading claims about “gender identity” from its guidance. These parents warn that the AHRC’s current material is helping to entrench risky so‑called “gender‑affirming” practices on vulnerable young people, despite growing international concern about their safety and long‑term impacts.
PAGD is also offering something profoundly positive: a vision of loving parenting that does not mean blindly affirming a child’s discomfort, but walking with them, seeking the truth, and helping them learn to accept and love their own bodies and identity. That is real compassion.

A deeply troubling new study has just been released on the worsening state of gambling in Australia. It shows that while overall participation has dipped slightly, risky gambling has jumped to almost one in five adults, and more than half of all gamblers now mainly gamble online.
Last year in Parliament, Maryka Groenewald MLC for Western Australia warned that online gambling lets Aussies gamble without even needing to leave the house, and this new data confirms that concern. Online gambling has now overtaken venue‑based gambling, and gambling‑related harm to families and third parties is skyrocketing. We must act urgently to reduce gambling harm and rein in predatory online platforms and advertising.
If you want to support a party that will take gambling harm seriously and stand up to the gambling lobby, join Australian Christians today: https://www.australianchristians.org.au/membership/

Today we mark Pentecost Sunday, when Christians remember the moment God poured out His Holy Spirit and the Church was empowered to carry the good news of Jesus into every part of society. It is a reminder that God does not call His people to public witness and then leave them on their own – He goes before us and strengthens us as we stand for truth and love in our communities and in our Parliament.
We are thankful for believers across Western Australia who pray, serve and speak up for faith, family and freedom, trusting the Holy Spirit to guide and sustain them. Wishing you a blessed Pentecost Sunday as you gather with your church and your loved ones.
