Australians share common core values, which whilst not unique to Australia, are expressed in our own unique way. Drawing on colloquialisms, our values include such things as being ‘fair dinkum’, and the value of a ‘fair go for all’. Our society’s values are based on our Judeo-Christian heritage, which are ultimately outlined within the Bible. We are unapologetic about basing our policies, and core values upon this, our heritage. Hope matters in difficult seasons.

Christian hope does not ask people to pretend that hardship is easy. It reminds us that suffering is not the end of the story, and that we have a duty to stand beside those carrying heavy burdens.

Australian Christians believes hope must lead to practical care. Families under pressure need strong communities, responsive services and leaders willing to see the person behind the policy.

Our Party brings faith, compassion and responsibility into decisions that affect real lives.

Child protection is one of the most serious responsibilities of any government.

The Cook Labor Government repeatedly claims that keeping children safe is a top priority. Yet too often we encounter delayed reports, vague timelines and non-answers to direct questions.

The pattern is becoming impossible to ignore. Maryka Groenewald MLC for Western Australia has continued to raise these matters in the Legislative Council, including questions about Working with Children Check reforms and child protection accountability.

Safeguarding vulnerable children must come before bureaucracy, political convenience and carefully worded responses. Parents, carers, frontline workers and communities deserve to know what is working, what is failing and what concrete action is being taken.

Australian Christians will never stop pressing the Government to do more. We will keep demanding transparency, clear timelines and a child protection system that puts vulnerable children first.

Australian Christians believes no woman should feel that abortion is her only option because she is facing financial pressure, relationship difficulties, fear or uncertainty about the future.

The Government often highlights its women’s health initiatives. Yet it is far less clear about the support available to women experiencing an unexpected pregnancy who want to keep their baby.

Women deserve practical help. They need access to compassionate counselling, safe housing, financial support, healthcare and community support that gives them a genuine choice.

We will keep advocating for a culture that values both mother and child, and ensures every woman knows she is not alone.

Small business keeps local communities moving.

Behind every shopfront, workshop or home office is someone who took a risk, invested their savings and kept showing up for customers through long days and uncertain conditions.

Australian Christians believes government should respect their time, reduce needless burdens and listen before imposing new costs. Axeing payroll tax would help small businesses hire, grow and thrive, rather than penalising them for creating jobs.

Our Party gives small business owners a principled voice in decisions that affect their future.

Prayer gives strength when the road ahead is uncertain.

Romans 12:12 calls us to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer. Those words matter when progress is slow and the burdens people carry are not always visible.

Australian Christians is grateful for everyone who prays for our State and for those serving in public life. We believe faith should lead to action: wise decisions, practical care and the courage to keep serving.

Our Party exists to carry that faith into the public square.

The innocence of children must be protected. A disturbing trend is spreading through books marketed to children: explicit sexual images and graphic descriptions that have no place in the hands of young readers.

This is often defended as “sex education”. But parents are right to ask why material that would be clearly inappropriate for children is being placed in school libraries and presented as educational.

Australian Christians believes parents should be able to trust that children will not be exposed to explicit content at school. Elected representatives have a duty to protect childhood, support parents and make sure age-appropriate boundaries are upheld.

We will keep pressing for these inappropriate books to be kept out of little kids’ hands.

Psalm 127:3 speaks of children as a gift. That belief calls us to take their care seriously, from the earliest stages of life through the years when they need guidance, security and room to grow.

Australian Christians stands for the dignity of every child and the responsibilities adults carry towards them. Families, communities and public institutions each have a part to play. Protecting children begins with recognising their worth and putting their wellbeing at the centre of our decisions.
