East Freo Playgroup Inc. Our playgroup runs out of a large Council-owned house with a lovely wide veranda & large shady park. We have loads of toys, & fun activities & events.

Our playgroup is a member of Playgroup WA. We welcome families with children from between 0-5 years. It is a great way to connect with other parents (generally over a cuppa) and a cheap and fun way to entertain our kids in a safe and beautiful environment. Each term we have an organised activity, whether it be Scitech, a small farm or even musicians who come to entertain the kids. We offer 2 FREE trial visits to our playgroup to see if it is the right fit for you and your child/children before you commit to enrolling. We do hope to see you there soon for a cuppa and some fun!

⛽🚗 Fuel Up the Fun!
One of our exciting new playground additions has officially arrived... our very own petrol pump! 🎉
What might look like a simple piece of equipment is actually a gateway to endless imaginative play. Whether little ones are filling up cars before a road trip, refuelling a fire truck on its way to an emergency, or topping up the family caravan for a holiday adventure, every turn of the handle sparks creativity, communication and storytelling.
Imaginative play helps children develop language, problem-solving, social skills and confidence—all while having so much fun. 💛
We can't wait to see all the adventures our families dream up at East Fremantle Playgroup! 🚙✨

There’s something irresistible about a slide when your friends are having fun too!
Watching these five little adventurers take turns, cheer each other on and race back for "just one more go" is a beautiful reminder that playgroup is about so much more than play equipment.
It's about friendship, confidence, patience, sharing and the pure joy of experiencing life's little moments together.
And let's be honest—there's nothing quite as contagious as toddler laughter! ✨

🚤🌊 All Aboard the Lil' Tinnie!
Our brand-new Lil' Tinnie has already welcomed its first little captains, and it was an instant hit! ⚓💙
Watching siblings jump aboard together, take turns steering, and set off on imaginary adventures was a beautiful reminder of the magic of play.
One minute they're heading out to catch fish, the next they're rescuing sea creatures, exploring hidden islands or cruising along the Swan River. There's no limit to where imagination can take them!
Open-ended play equipment like this encourages teamwork, communication, creativity and confidence while creating memories that last a lifetime.

Climbing, balancing, sliding, digging, imagining... it might look like fun (and it is!), but every adventure on the playground helps little minds and bodies grow.
Through active play, children develop confidence, coordination, problem-solving skills and resilience—all while making friends and creating joyful childhood memories.
At East Fremantle Playgroup, we love providing a space where children can explore at their own pace, take on new challenges and discover what they're capable of.

🌳🎵 Little voices, big friendships 💛
One of the most beautiful things about playgroup is watching children learn from one another while being completely themselves.
Here, two of our gorgeous playgroup friends sit together in a tree, happily singing "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Once I Caught a Fish Alive" — mixing the words they know with words from their own language. 🥰
Moments like these remind us that playgroup is so much more than play. It's a place where children build friendships, share cultures, develop confidence and learn that every voice belongs.
How lucky are we to be part of such a warm, welcoming and diverse community. 🌏✨

A number of our families are still yet to complete their Playgroup WA registration. Once you pay your East Freo Playgroup fee, there is the once off $35.00 Playgroup WA fee to complete your registration. Fully registered memberships help our playgroup access grants and funding opportunities for equipment, resources and improvements.
Please take a moment to check your emails (including your junk folder) and complete your registration if you haven't already.
Together, every membership makes a difference. 💛

🚧 Exciting things are happening at East Freo Playgroup! 🌿✨
Did you know? We're getting a makeover!
Thanks to Simone McGurk MLA for our $50,000 grant, our outdoor play space will soon be transformed with brand new playground equipment designed to inspire climbing, exploring, imaginative play and plenty of fun.
Work is set to begin at the end of this month, and we can't wait to share the finished result with our wonderful families and the wider community.
