WA’s best Rose Collection, world-class Camellias. Romantic picnic lawns, blooming colour & charm. The picturesque landscape is situated in the Perth hills with a north-south valley aspect. Each year, through August and September, we host our renowned Tulip Festival, seeing thousands of smiling faces taking in the stunning beauty of our park. Throughout the rest of the year, we host many captivating activities for all ages, so there is always something to find at Araluen. Araluen has enjoyed international acclaim for our gardens and particular species, including Camellias and Roses. In 2012, Araluen was recognised by the International Camellia Society, joining just 29 other gardens around the world in their Camellia Gardens of Excellence program. Similarly, Araluen’s Heritage Tea Roses drew acclaim through the highly respected US Rosa Mundi magazine. The 2008 Spring/Summer edition referred to Araluen as ‘…one of the finest collections of Tea Roses in the world…’ Araluen continues the planting traditions established by our founder, Boss Simons, by expanding the camellia and rhododendrons collections, as well as adding to the eucalyptus with Karri, Tuart, and by increasing the Jarrah trees which had been logged heavily in the valley during the early 1900s.

WHAT A NIGHT TO REMEMBER.✨

Beautiful music, spring gardens and an evening shared together at Araluen Botanic Park. Symphony Among the Tulips on 10 October brought a little Bridgerton magic to the Amphitheatre, with Perth Wedding and Event Music performing A Tribute to Bridgerton, joined by the beautiful vocals of Mia Matthiessen. 🌷🎻

Thank you to everyone who joined us, to our wonderful performers, and to everyone who helped bring the evening together. It was a joy to share it with you, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Araluen Botanic Park.

HAVE YOU VISITED YATES SPRINGTIME AT ARALUEN BOTANIC PARK YET? 🌷

Yates Springtime is now on at Araluen Botanic Park, with the season currently expected to run from 4 September to around 18 October 2026, depending on flowering conditions.

This year, the gardens are filled with around 250,000 tulips, alongside 50,000 other spring bulbs including daffodils, hyacinths, iris, jonquils and liliums.

Come and see spring at its most colourful. Araluen Botanic Park is open from 9am–5pm, with last entry at 3:30pm.

As flowering is seasonal and can change, please check the latest information on the Araluen Botanic Park website before your visit, especially if you’re planning to come later in the season.

CHALET HEALY RESTAURANT.

Where gourmet meets nature.

If you’re spending the day at Araluen Botanic Park, leave a little room for lunch at Chalet Healy Restaurant.

This spring, Chef Pablo Henke brings a fresh new menu inspired by Australian native ingredients, seasonal local produce and flavours from around the world. The food is modern, refined and made to be enjoyed slowly — exactly what you want after a wander through the gardens.

On the menu, you’ll find dishes like crispy four-cheese arancini with smoked tomato sugo and Parmesan, whiting tempura tacos with avocado and chipotle mayo, and pan-seared Cone Bay barramundi with cinnamon myrtle pumpkin purée and orange fennel salad. Even the hand-cut chips get an Australian twist with native bush spices and house-made aioli.

And then there’s the setting — Chalet Healy sits right among Araluen’s gardens, so lunch feels like part of the day rather than a break from it.
