Herding goats back to health π π«Ά
Our Livestock Compliance team recently supported a herd of dairy goats following concerns about their wellbeing.
Inspectors worked closely with the owners over six months, offering guidance and support. When it became clear the goats needed more intensive care, arrangements were made to bring them into DPIRDβs care.
With veterinary treatment, proper nutrition and dedicated husbandry, the herd made a strong recovery.
They have now been rehomed together on a Western Australian farm, where they are continuing to thrive. A great example of collaboration to achieve the best outcome for animal welfare.
