Babijt update! Thanks again Ry Beaver
The babijt/bat data is in for May 2026. Calls are up on last year, with 75 bats detected in all over 10 days. Mostly Gould's again but also 5 long-eared bats and 1 white-striped freetail. This marks four years of data.
(Photos show a long-eared bat and a its "call")

The planting area is along the Baron-Hay Court side away from the forthcoming earthworks and has been fenced off to keep out the rabbits that survive the current cull by Town of Victoria Park and
Some of you will remember seeding was trialled in 2024, and the weeds won. In 2025, Curtin put in trial beds to test the efficacy of mulching and deep vs shallow rooted plants.
We will keep you posted and you can always read more on our website.
