A State Funeral for the Honourable Bill Grayden AM will be held at St George’s Cathedral on Tuesday, June 02. To support the formal proceedings, access throughout Cathedral Square will be restricted and valet parking will be unavailable during this time.
Access Restrictions:
- Cathedral Square will be closed to the public from 6am – 1pm, with no access for vehicles or pedestrians.
- Valet parking and vehicle drop-offs will be unavailable during this time.
- In-house guests with vehicles will be required to exit via Pier Street.
Guests with hotel stays, dining reservations or event bookings are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional time for arrival.

CLONAKILLA WINE DINNER | STATE CELLARS
An evening with one of Australia’s most celebrated winemakers.
Join Tim Kirk of Canberra District’s renowned Clonakilla for an intimate dinner in the State Cellars Wine Room, celebrating one of Australia’s great wine stories through rare museum bottles, new releases and single-vineyard expressions.
The five-course menu will feature scallop, lobster, lamb and beef, thoughtfully paired with Clonakilla wines, including 2005 and 2025 Viognier, the 2018 and newly released 99-point rated 2024 Shiraz Viognier, two 2019 T&L single-vineyard wines, and a mystery wine revealed on the night.
