Remember not to move untreated wood, green waste and plants outside of the Perth metro area - and limit the spread of the shothole borer

Help protect WA’s trees, food and agriculture from polyphagous shot-hole borer 🪲

The borer doesn’t move far on its own but can spread through human movement 🛻

on how we can reduce the impact of the European red fox. 📣

The European red fox is a major predator of native mammals, birds and reptiles. It contributes to the decline of many threatened species across Australia.

A draft threat abatement plan is now open for public comment.

The plan outlines national actions to reduce fox predation, including:
• improved control and management
• stronger monitoring and reporting
• support for research and innovation
• better coordination across governments, land managers and stakeholders.

Your feedback will help guide national action to protect native species and ecological communities.

Find out how to provide your feedback via the link in comments. ⬇️

Consultation closes 29 January 2027.
