🚆 Boosted Flow Test Completed for Armadale Train Line 🚆

Our team recently conducted a Boosted Flow Test across two key sites—Oats Street Station and Cannington Station—as part of essential fire system performance checks. This test ensures that the hydrant systems provide the required flow and pressure for emergency response, maintaining compliance with AS 1851:2012 Table 4.4.4.

Regular testing is crucial for verifying system reliability and ensuring fire services have the water supply they need when it matters most.

Fire Protection Upgrades Completed Across Perth! 🔥🔧

This week, our team successfully carried out two essential fire protection modifications:

✅ Alkimos – Fire Hose Reel Relocation
To enhance accessibility and ensure compliance, we relocated a fire hose reel approximately 4 meters from its original position. The work involved system isolation, pipework modifications, reinstallation, and thorough testing to confirm everything was in top condition.

✅ Terrace Road, Perth – Sprinkler Relocation
We relocated an exposed pendant sprinkler head approximately 500mm away from a curved wall to ensure optimal coverage. The job included system isolation, extending the pipework, and reinstating the system with full compliance.

Both systems were tested, commissioned, and certified upon completion, reinforcing our commitment to precision and compliance in fire protection services.

Fire Stop Valve Replacement 🔧🔥

Our team at Safetytech Fire Services recently handled a fire stop valve replacement after discovering a seized and heavily corroded valve that couldn’t be exercised. We’ve now replaced the faulty valve with a new one, following the manufacturer's specifications and adhering to Australian Standards (AS 1851-2012)

Here’s what we did:
✅ Removed the old, corroded valve
✅ Installed a new fire stop valve
✅ Ensured proper alignment and tightness
✅ Conducted pressure tests to confirm installation integrity
✅ Re-pressurised the system and checked for leaks
✅ Completed thorough testing and commissioning

🚨 Urgent Afterhours Repair in Kelmscott! 🚨

When an unexpected ceiling collapse caused by a leaking pipe left our client in Kelmscott in a bind, Safetytech Fire Services jumped into action! Our wet fire technician responded immediately after being notified of the callout to assess the damage and determine the necessary repairs.

Arriving afterhours, we quickly stripped out the faulty pipework. Our technicians then roll-grooved and threaded the necessary pipes to reuse what we could, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

After installing the new pipework, the system was refilled from the town’s mains and pressurised up to 500 kPa. Once we confirmed there were no leaks, our team cleared the area and signed out, leaving the site secure and safe.

1️⃣ Isolate the system – Before commencing, we safely isolated the system to eliminate any risk during the replacement process.
2️⃣ Disassemble the jacking pump – Carefully removing the damaged pump for proper disposal and replacement.
3️⃣ Supply and install:
- 1 x new jacking pump
- 1 x new fl**ge adapters and gaskets, ensuring a robust and reliable connection.
4️⃣ Reassemble the pump assembly – Precision reassembly to guarantee optimal functionality.
5️⃣ Deisolate the system – Gradually restoring the system to normal operation with care and attention to detail.
6️⃣ Testing & Commissioning – Conducting thorough testing to confirm the system meets the stringent requirements of Australian Standards.
