Lucas is a Ranger Coordinator in Warakurna, working with the Land & Culture team to support a range of on-Country programs and community activities.
Alongside the ranger team, the work includes looking after Country through incendiary burning, clearing rockholes, supporting activities at the school and helping out within community where needed.
Lucas loves living in Warakurna - particularly the beauty of the landscape and its people.

The Ngaanyatjarra Council (Aboriginal Corporation) is an organisation representing the interests of around 2000 Ngaanyatjarra, Pintupi and Pitjantjatjara people living in eleven major communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia. Member communities of the Council are:

• Kiwirrkurra Council (Aboriginal Corporation)

Wanda lives in Papulankutja/Blackstone with her aunty, father and great grandmother.
After attending school in Adelaide, Wanda returned home to the Lands in 2013 after finishing Year 11, reconnecting with family, community and Country.
For this story, we travelled with Wanda out to Singing Rocks, the land of her grandfather and great grandfather — a place filled with memory, connection and story.

Sam works at the Warburton Day Centre as part of the Social Kitchen program, preparing and delivering meals to community members who, for different reasons, are unable to cook for themselves.
Through this work, Sam helps make sure people are supported with regular, healthy meals.
Sam loves working with community members, putting a smile on their faces and helping them enjoy three square meals a day.
