On behalf of all Kent Street Senior High School staff, I warmly welcome you and your children to our exceptional school. We pride ourselves on having a dedicated team of excellent teachers and support staff that are committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for all students. Our purpose is to ensure that all students at Kent Street Senior High School leave school well prepared for their future and have opportunities to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to achieve their individual potential. Kent Street prides itself on the wide variety of pathways to success we offer all students and ensure they are well supported in their endeavour to achieve. Kent Street is well known for its Aviation, CoRE, Cricket and Fashion / Arts Design Specialist Programs. We cater to the diverse backgrounds, interests, aptitudes and needs of our student body from Years 7 to 12. Our Senior School courses include both Tertiary and Vocational courses which lead to your child achieving the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). We are proud of our rich cultural diversity and adapt our curriculum offerings to meet identified needs. As a Positive Behaviour Support school, we empower your child to choose respect, be self-aware and compassionate to others. Our staff members are committed to leading educational programs that maximise student engagement through developing high order thinking skills that will equip them for the future. To enrich your child’s experience at our school, many of our students take part in extracurricular clubs, as well as national and international excursions that provide unique learning opportunities and life experiences. The school's excellent facilities and resources include a swimming pool, gymnasium, fitness centre, performing arts centre, aviation centre, two aeroplanes, excellent library facilities, turf wickets and extensive grounds. Our Curtin Trade Training Centre, located on site at Kent Street, provides industry standard learning opportunities in state-of-the-art facilities. We have long-standing partnerships with industry and the community for the ultimate benefit of your child. Our relationship with partners such as Virgin Australia Regional Airlines, the WACA, the Kentian Society, Chevron, Rotary and the Rotary Residential College provide many excellent opportunities not available elsewhere. As parents and guardians, you are the first and most important educator in your child’s life, and here at Kent Street we value your participation and feedback. A partnership founded on strong relationships between students, teachers, parents and the community are the enduring platform upon which the school is built. One of our local Primary schools, Millen Primary School is celebrating an incredible 70 years, and our community is invited to join them for a fantastic day of fun, food and entertainment this weekend!

As we prepare to welcome lots of visitors to our wonderful fete, we'd like to ask everyone to please be mindful and respectful of our neighbours and residents in the surrounding streets

We are incredibly fortunate to be part of such a wonderful community, and we want to ensure everyone has a positive experience on fete day!

When parking, please remember to:

🚗 Keep driveways and access points clear at all times.
🌳 Please don't park on residents' lawns, gardens or verges without permission.
🚦 Observe all parking signs and restrictions and avoid blocking footpaths.
🏡 Respect residents' properties and gardens when walking to and from the fete.
❤️ Be courteous and considerate of those who live in the surrounding streets.

Please allow a little extra time to find suitable parking, as the surrounding streets may be busier than usual.

A little kindness and consideration go a long way! Thank you for helping us keep our neighbours happy while we celebrate this very special milestone. 💙

I think students particularly liked dunking the Principal Mrs Single, and Mr Goodhew - who had the audacity to turn up in a Brisbane Lions shirt!!

Year 12 final fun and shenanigans are well and truly underway. We had an impromptu wedding and BBQ, staff vs student volleyball and tug of war (students won both.... but they had batman on their team!), canteen staff gave out cake, and dress ups including "style swap" and "when I grow up".

Yesterday our music students performed in the annual Music Showcase. We had over 90 students taking part in either performance or media roles. It was a culmination of everything students had learnt over the course of the year and we are proud of their growth and dedication to the Arts!

Thank you to the parents, friends and families who came down to support and to all the staff - especially the Arts teachers - who gave up their time to make this all possible.
