VEHICLE FIRE | POOWONG

Last night, Poowong Fire Brigade, supported by Loch CFA Fire and Rescue, responded to a vehicle fire in Poowong on Nyora Rd.

Crews arrived to find a vehicle well alight in a residential driveway. The fire was quickly brought under control and the scene was made safe before the vehicle was towed away.

The circumstances surrounding the vehicle are being investigated by Victoria Police.

This incident is a timely reminder to remain vigilant within our community. If you notice suspicious vehicles, unusual activity or behaviour that doesn’t look right, do not approach or put yourself at risk. Take note of what you can safely observe and report suspicious activity to Victoria Police.

With warmer weather approaching, fire can spread rapidly and deliberately lit fires can have serious consequences for homes, properties and our community.

Know your surroundings, stay alert and report suspicious behaviour.

In an emergency, always call Triple Zero (000).
