Big news on the Bandicoot font. A new species has been recognized. These charming creatures were historically mistaken for European rat species (and treated accordingly) and also sadly fell prey to introduced predators. It is heartening to see the efforts being made to give some limelight to this species.

If you’ve ever seen these bright blue tankers getting around TNQ, they are the brainchild of some very clever Aussie farmers. Their ‘Cookers’ trucks collect the used vegetable oils from local kitchens and convert it into biodiesel. This is used for their farming operations. A great use of a renewable resource.
