We seem to have reached a strange point in human history where billions are being invested in artificial intelligence while the bees, forests, and freshwater ecosystems that support life on Earth are facing serious threats.
Bees and other pollinators help produce many of the foods we eat, trees provide essential wildlife habitats and contribute to a healthy climate, and clean water remains one of the most important resources for human survival.
Data centers may support the technology we use every day, but they cannot replace the natural systems that have sustained life for millions of years, no matter how advanced our computers become.
If we genuinely want to leave future generations a better world, protecting biodiversity, conserving freshwater, and preserving healthy forests must be treated as essential priorities rather than obstacles to economic development.
