💙 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗣𝘂𝗱!

Today marks the end of an incredible chapter as Wayne ‘Pud’ Trewin retires after 46 years of service to our holiday parks and camping community.

For generations of campers, Pud has been a familiar and friendly face who helped make our holiday parks feel like a home away from home. His kindness, dedication and genuine care have left a lasting impression on countless guests and our wider community.

Pud is incredibly grateful for the friendships, memories and good times he has shared over the years. Those connections and moments will always hold a special place in his heart.

While we'll miss seeing Pud around the parks, we're excited for him as he begins this next adventure.

BirdLife Australia is asking bird lovers of all ages to spend 20 minutes counting the birds around you, which will help track the health of Australia's bird populations.

DEECA Barwon South West and the Borough of Queenscliffe are running a community information session next week where you can hear the latest information about the local situation from wildlife and agriculture staff.

🔧 𝗪𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 🚧

The amenity building adjacent to the playground at W.G. Little Reserve, Portarlington, will be temporarily closed from Monday 19 to Tuesday 20 October for routine maintenance works.

These works will help ensure the facility remains safe, functional and available for use.

We understand this may cause some inconvenience and appreciate your patience while these important works are completed.

🌳 Trees are a valued part of our coastal landscape, providing shade, habitat and a connection to place. While we work to retain and enhance trees on the coast, public safety must always come first.

Following our annual arborist inspection, two cypress trees, one in Indented Head and one in St Leonards, have been found to pose an unacceptable public safety risk due to significant structural cracking. As a result, both trees will be removed next week.

An ecologist will oversee the works to minimise environmental impacts, and the removed material will be repurposed to support coastal restoration projects.

🚧 Please stay outside the exclusion zones around the trees until works are complete and the sites have reopened.
