Well that’s a wrap and The Friends of The Great South West Walk have loved hosting 212 walkers from 41 clubs from all over Victoria who enjoyed the 34 different walks on offer for the 2026 FED WALKS. Feedback so far has been a big 👍😍👍 and this was all made possible thanks to our 80 volunteers who helped with driving, coordinating all manner of things at the HUB, supplying 1120 pieces of fruit, slices, biscuits and cakes for afternoon tea as walkers returned from their walks and leading and whipping for the walks.
217 attended the dinner and live music event on Saturday night and still managed to walk on Sunday.

Next year’s FED WALKS will be hosted by The Maroondah BWC @ Healesville on OCT 16-17, 2027.

Well it’s nearly here. Portland is going to be inundated with walkers this weekend from all over the state to participate in the FED WALKS, a Bushwalking Victoria initiative, hosted by a different walking club each year. This is our year. The Great South West Walk will be the star of the show this weekend for our visitors to enjoy. The walk is spectacular at anytime of the year but for orchid lovers and wildflowers enthusiasts you have come at the perfect time.
The Friends of The Great South West Walk, welcome all our visitors and are looking forward to meeting you all.
