EOI'S NOW OPEN!

🎨 Are you a young creative living in the Glenelg Shire and ready to start selling and showing off your work?

This is your chance to showcase your creations at the Makers Market on Thursday 26 November, 5–7pm at Glenelg Libraries After Dark.

Delivered by the Glenelg Libraries and Glenelg Shire Youth, we're looking for creative people aged 12–25 to submit an Expression of Interest for a spot at the market.

Whether you create art, jewellery, candles, crochet, prints, ceramics or something completely unique, we'd love to hear from you! ✨

Please send through all entries to Marissa: [email protected] or call 035522 2257

Last month Glenelg Libraries had the honour of hosting one of only a handful of launch events for James Saunders debut book Fighting for Country, telling the story of the extraordinary life of his uncle local Gunditjmara man Captain Reg Saunders. We were so grateful to also be joined by Reg's daughters Aunty Glenda and Aunty Hilary who generously shared their memories of their father with the audience alongside James. If you haven't had a chance to read Fighting for Country yet you can find it at your local library branch or place a hold on a copy through our catalogue here: https://glen.libsvic.ent.sirsidynix.net.au/client/en_AU/glen/search/results?qu=fighting%20for%20country&te=&lm=GLEN-S

For our next Art Exhibition, we invite you to reimagine the classic gingerbread house as a work of art, using cardboard and sustainable materials instead of traditional sweets (no real gingerbread please).

Let your creativity run wild, whether you draw inspiration from architecture, nature, fantasy, local landmarks, or your own festive traditions. The only limit is your imagination!

Entries to be delivered to your Library by 30 November 2026

We can't wait to see your extraordinary creations on display!
