The patrol season is here, and our beach is only as safe as the volunteers standing on it. Want to be one of them? Here’s your chance. 💪

No strong swimming required — if you’ve held back from getting involved because you’re not a swimmer, these courses are for YOU. Learn skills that save lives, no laps needed. 🧡

Penguin Surf Life Saving Club's SRC and Bronze Medallion course kicks off THIS Sunday, 1 November, and there are still spots left. This is your chance to learn real rescue skills, keep our beach safe and join the patrol team.

📅 Training: Sundays and Tuesdays

🏊 Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC)
• Financial member of an SLS club
• 13+ years old by the final assessment date
• Swim 200 m unaided in a pool in 5 minutes or less

🏅 Bronze Medallion
• Financial member of an SLS club
• 15+ years old by the final assessment date
• Swim 400 m unaided in a pool in 9 minutes or less

Fantastic Friday night one club session. Great roll up from all members of the club (the pictures don’t do it justice). Darren Ling the winner of the very popular meat tray raffle. Kerry the winner of one of our chocolate boxes. Stay tuned for our next one club function.

A big shout-out to Penguin members Layla, Eloise and Sonny, who have spent the weekend taking part in the latest Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) and Bronze Medallion course, hosted by Ulverstone Surf Life Saving Club! 💛❤️

👏 Layla is working towards her Bronze Medallion, Eloise has been supporting the next generation as a trainee trainer, and Sonny has been working towards his SRC.

It’s fantastic to see our members building their skills, stepping into new opportunities and supporting the future of surf lifesaving.

A big thank you to Ulverstone Surf Life Saving Club for hosting the course and supporting the development of or members!

The 2026 Junior Lifesaver Camp brought together candidates and leaders from across the state for an amazing three days at Camp Clayton in Ulverstone 🙌
