The Aussie Bird Count from 19–25 October is for all ages and involves observing and counting the birds that live near you.

You don’t need to be an expert birder to take part — all you need is a little enthusiasm!

This activity could add to your learning program in Science and Humanities/Social Science.

Celebrate National Bird Week by taking part in the biggest citizen science project to hit Aussie shores. Join thousands of people from across the country, heading out into their backyards, local parks or favourite open spaces to take part in the Aussie Bird Count.

Tomorrow is International Day of Sign Languages.

It celebrates sign languages and recognises the importance of Deaf culture and linguistic diversity.
