TAS SES- Queenstown Unit

The rain eased just long enough to put in some trainig outside. Tonight was rooftop. Perfect conditions. Cold but dry. When you get a break in the rainy weather try and make the most of it.

Queenstown Unit topped up on some ropes and stretcher work during training this week, some of us had a more relaxed approach!

Notice our realistic example of a rooftop being demonstrated by our unit manager

Thanks to Nico for taking our training session.

What a great day for a picnic!

For 2026, Queenstown SES put throwline skills to the test and saw some impressive efforts in the future SES members.

We also showcased the dirty, disgusting and dangerous things that can be found in floodwater - we are worried the kids enjoyed it far too much.

Our mascot snake ‘Sebastian’ had to be rescued but not before Brian snuck in a kiss (surely it wasn’t a bite!).

Thanks to Daniel, Brian and Nicole for hosting
