🐱Kitten Rescue 🐱

Our crews were called to a local lawyer with reports of some kittens stuck in the roof. Our crews attended and retrieved 4 adorable kittens from the roof space.

The next day our crews received a call back that the mother cat had returned and was looking for her babies, she was also successfully removed from the roof and last our crews heard she was reunited with her kitten at the local vet. Great work all round.

Considering becoming a volunteer? Put your application in today on the NSW SES website.

🚨Interagency Training 🚒

Thanks for joining us NSW RFS - Raymond Terrace Brigade on a joint interagency training night.

We put our crews through their paces with a mock two car car accident with one car being an EV. Both agencies got to test their skills and continue to build our strong working relationship.

If you are keen to get involved we are currently recruiting, go to the NSW SES website to submit an application today.

On an afternoon after school last week this little girl stopped to help a friend when she then tripped and fell over her pushbike accidentally wedging her knee into the frame of her bike.

Lucky for her one of our members was returning home from her shift at the hospital and stopped to help, activating our rescue teams and call 000 for an ambulance. With some quick work of the rescue spreaders and some pain relief from the NSW Ambulance Paramedics this little girl was freed!

We then had the privilege of meeting again and receiving a very thoughtful gift to say thanks to our crew.

We don’t often get to meet the people we help after an event, it’s lovely to see our volunteers receiving recognition for the work they do and the countless hours of training that goes into maintaining their skills.

We are so happy to see you doing so well - looking forward to getting your membership application in a few years!

Well done to our two members that took on Navshield over the weekend!

Ladene and Yvette joined members from NSW SES Swansea - Catherine Hill Bay Unit, NSW SES Wyong Unit, NSW SES Lake Macquarie Unit and NSW SES Cooranbong Unit to take on the challenge this year.

Navshield is an annual wilderness navigation event hosted by NSW SES. Using only map and compass, teams navigate rugged bush terrain to locate checkpoints, building teamwork, endurance and practical land search skills in a realistic field environment.
