It has been a busy and productive day at RSS, with students across Years 7–10 participating in immunisations and hearing screenings.

These important health initiatives help ensure our students are healthy, supported and ready to learn. By working together with families and health professionals, we continue to live our motto, "Together for Success," creating the best possible opportunities for every student to thrive.

Our Digital Technologies students explored innovation and creativity using Makey Makeys, transforming everyday objects into interactive computer controllers while developing coding, problem-solving, and design thinking skills.

This week we have all the regular favourites and some specials including….

• High fibre super healthy chia, oat, yoghurt, fruit cups
• Homemade Cheesy vegemite scrolls
• Turkish Bread Toasties
• A healthy salad with baby spinach, roast vegies, feta and a balsamic dressing

Sweet treats include: homemade m&m slice, caramel slice and homemade apple pie with custard. Get your orders in your class box by Thursday.

To help prepare our students to become safer drivers and passengers on the roads, our Year 11 & 12 students participated in RACQ’s Driver IQ Learner Program. Through this interactive
lesson, students learned practical strategies and explored ways that passengers can support drivers to concentrate on the road ahead.

PBL Rule of the Week

Last Friday our EcoMarines Ambassadors travelled to the Tangalooma Resort on Moreton Island to learn all about sustainability and being eco-friendly. For many of our students it was the first time on a boat. We got to work alongside the students of 25 other schools, participating in workshops, making great connections and taking a tour of the resort. We saw all of the hidden facilities they use to keep the water clean, their waste sorted, and their dolphins and other wildlife happy and healthy.
